I’ve always loved Noosa, and these days there’s nowhere I’d rather call home. Although I’m technically a co-director of Noosa Picnics, my other job takes me away for six weeks at a time, working as a diamond miner in Africa. So when I’m home, I try to make the most of every minute and get stuck into whatever needs doing at Noosa Picnics.

For me, one of the best parts of the business is being involved in some of the biggest moments in people’s lives. Whether it’s helping set up a proposal, an anniversary or a special celebration, there’s something pretty amazing about knowing that the picnic we’ve created will become part of a memory they’ll look back on for years to come.

I’ve also learnt that there’s a lot more that goes into a beautiful picnic than what you see when you arrive. I love being involved behind the scenes, making sure everything is where it needs to be and that Sarah-Louise has one less thing to worry about.

We’ve got big plans for Noosa Picnics, and my long-term goal is to grow the business to a point where I can eventually leave mining behind and spend more time at home, helping build something we can be proud of together.

My favourite picnic: The Luxury setting in sage green. Noosa Dog Beach is my favourite location, mostly because I love that the family dogs can come along for the setup too.

A little fun fact: I spend six weeks at a time working in Africa as a diamond miner, which makes coming home to Noosa and jumping straight into a picnic setup feel pretty special.
